Curriculum 2014/15 onwards - Professional Studies of Sport
The curriculum of the study program consists of the total of 23 obligatory (19 one-semester and 4 two-semester ones) and 26 elective courses. A student has to pass in 33 courses, including professional practice as an integral part of some courses, and to elaborate the final paper.
The number of active teaching classes within the study program is 2059 classes, out of which 1151 classes are theoretical lectures and 908 classes are practical lectures and exercises.

Within the study program, courses are classified into the following types: academic – general education courses, professional and applicative ones.

Given that the program is focused at training for practical work, students perform practice in sports clubs, national teams, sports events and sports associations.

Elective courses of the study program are grouped into five elective blocks and are studied in II, III, IV, V and VI semester.

Out of the total number of ECTS credits of the study program of Sport, academic and general education courses carry the weight of 36 credit points (15.09%), professional – 94 credit points (37.74%), professional and applicative – 106 credit points (47.17%), while the final paper carries the weight of 4 credit points (percentage in the electronic form is calculated according to their positions). Elective courses carry the weight of 40 credit points (22.22%).

Besides, the Program specification provides detailed description of courses. The description consists of the name of the course, names of professors and associates, the status of the course, the code of the subject, number of allocated ECTS credits, semester, weekly and yearly number of classes. The detailed specification contains a short description of the course, prerequisites that should be met if a student wants to attend a course, the aim of the course with the expected outcomes, contents of the course, a plan or a timetable by weeks, reference books, methods of teaching, types of tests and grading, as well as all other data on organization of classes and information for students about their rights and obligations.
