Curriculum 2014/15 onwards - Basic academic studies
The curriculum of the study program consists of 38 obligatory (30 one-semester and 8 two-semester ones) and 23 elective courses. A student has to pass in 48 courses, including professional and pedagogical practice as an integral part of some courses, and to elaborate the final paper.

The number of active teaching classes is 3068, out of which 1847 classes are theoretical lectures and 1221 classes are practical lectures and exercises.

The study program courses are classified into the following types: academic – general education courses, theoretical and methodological, scientific and professional, professional and applicative..

Out of the total number of ECTS credits of this program, academic and general education courses carry the weight of 43 credit points (15.89%), theoretical and methodological – 58 credit points (17.16%), scientific and professional – 89 credit points (31.29%), professional and applicative – 94 credit points (35.65%), while the final paper elective subjects carry the weight of 3 and 48 credit points (20%) respectively.

Elective subjects are grouped into seven elective blocks and are studied from II – VIII semester.

Within elective blocks, students are allowed to choose one of the following subjects (among others): Theory and technology of sports branch, Theory and technology of fitness, Theory and technology of recreation, which make them prepared to work in these areas of sport as well.

Within the classes of Theory and methodology of physical education and separately listed electives, students must attend pedagogical practice.
